HELLO CLASS #wire106 WELCOME TO THE SITE.. BE CAREFUL NOT TO GET EATEN!!

How I did it :

The .GIFs I created, consisted of snippets of  The Wire ,  from  Season One;  Episode 3.  I used Windows Movie Maker to cut and edit the film snippets.  I then used the program Stream Clip to convert the video to MPG 4. Then instead of GIMP (because I experienced problems with GIMP) I   then used free editing software to edit and create my .GIF( hence the watermark), in order to add text and convert it to a .GIF format.

Below is a screen shot of me inside Windows Movie Maker, where I had to edit and shorten the scenes to be transferred into the website.

HOW I DID

Description of .GIFs:

In this particular .GIF, D’angelo (“D”), uses the game of Chess as a metaphor in order to describe the drug game and the roles each person plays in making such things happen. D’ Angelo or  “D,”  uses a metaphor to teach the character “little man,” about the game of chess in a way that directly relates to his position and other members positions in their drug organization. ” D” describes the Head chess piece as “the King,” or the “Top Dog” of   their drug empire of whom his character refers to as his uncle—  The character known as Avon Barksdale or  “The King” for short
